Plain-English terms for a mail service that's meant to stay simple. By joining the waitlist or using Glassmail, you agree to what's set out below.
1. Who we are
Glassmail is operated by Glassmail (“Glassmail”, “we”, “us”), based in the United Kingdom. These terms form an agreement between you and us. If you have a question about them, email hello@glassmail.co.uk.
2. The waitlist and pre-launch
Glassmail is not yet generally available. Right now you can reserve an inbox by giving us your email address. Joining the waitlist does not create a mailbox, guarantee a place at launch, or commit you to paying anything.
We will send you a single email when invitations open. Founding members who subscribe at launch lock in their launch price for as long as they remain continuously subscribed. We may change planned features, pricing for future customers, and the launch timeline before the service goes live.
3. Your account
When the service launches, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to hold an account.
4. Acceptable use
Glassmail is for ordinary, lawful email. You agree not to use it to:
- send spam, bulk unsolicited mail, or phishing;
- distribute malware, or attempt to breach the security of our systems or anyone else’s;
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or harass, threaten or abuse people;
- resell the service or run it on behalf of third parties without our written agreement.
We may suspend or close accounts that put the service, our infrastructure, or other people at risk.
5. Plans, pricing and billing
At launch, Glassmail is offered as two paid plans:
- Solo — £4.50 / month one inbox with 60GB of private storage.
- Duo — £8 / month two inboxes sharing 120GB (60GB each).
Subscriptions are billed in advance for each billing period and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices include VAT where applicable. We will give you reasonable notice of any change to the price of your plan; founding-member pricing is protected as described above for as long as your subscription stays active.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We don’t lock you in with long contracts. Where you have a statutory right to a refund or cooling-off period under UK consumer law, that right applies and is unaffected by these terms.
If your subscription ends, you will have a window to export your mail before it is removed in line with our retention practices, described in the privacy notice.
7. Your content
Your mail is yours. We claim no ownership over the messages, attachments or data in your account. We do not read your mail to serve ads, build advertising profiles, or train artificial-intelligence models. We access content only where strictly necessary to operate the service, to keep it secure, or where the law requires it.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep Glassmail running, but we provide the service “as is” and can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or withdraw features over time. Where we make a material change that affects you, we’ll aim to give reasonable notice.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data to the extent it results from your own failure to keep your own backups where reasonable. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we’ll let you know by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use Glassmail after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction. This does not remove any protection you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
